Citroën launches C5 Aircross with the largest screen ever seen in a Stellantis vehicle (Citroën – Stellantis)
Citroën has unveiled the new generation of the C5 Aircross, which stands out for featuring the largest infotainment display ever installed in a Stellantis vehicle, with a vertical 13-inch screen. The model also includes a 10-inch digital cluster, adjustable head-up display, and retains physical buttons below the main screen.
The STLA Medium platform ensures more interior space, with a body 15 cm longer and an extended wheelbase, as well as a boxy design and 20-inch wheels, the largest ever used by Citroën.
As the brand’s flagship SUV, the C5 Aircross is packed with technology: LED headlights with active matrix, suspension with progressive hydraulic cushions promising “magic carpet” comfort, and a diverse range of powertrains. The model drops diesel and now offers a 1.2 turbo mild-hybrid engine with 136 hp, a plug-in hybrid with up to 195 hp and 86 km of electric range, as well as two fully electric versions, one with 210 hp and 520 km of range and another with 230 hp and 680 km.
The electric version supports fast charging up to 160 kW, while the plug-in hybrid accepts up to 7.4 kW.
Although Citroën has no plans to enter the U.S. market, Renault is preparing its return to the continent with the Alpine sub-brand. The new C5 Aircross will launch in Europe in the second half of this year.
